Plants in the amaryllis family vary quite abit. For instance, the different plant species are different heights. Some flowers are about a foot tall, and others may be three feet tall. The colors, sizes and shapes of the blooms are also very different from each other. The leaves or foliage of the amaryllis that we have planted range from about a foot tall to three feet tall, and are from a half inch wide to a couple of inches wide.
As you can see in the pictures below, all of our amaryllis bulbs are planted as naturaizing flowers, except for the lavender mountain lily. We don't have much luck with them. The lavender mountain lilies do good and look nice for a couple of years, then they never return again. We have tried to grow them three separate times in the past.
